About Milestones
Milestones provides advocacy and individualized support services to members of vulnerable populations including but not limited to children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, seniors, children and youth in or aging out of foster care to allow them to live high-quality lives in their homes and communities. We focus on providing advocacy and support services that meet the individual needs of our clients, therefore we do not try to steer clients toward the activities we want them to engage in, instead we focus on each individual’s needs and goals and providing them the opportunity to make friends and engage in a variety community settings.
Our Story
Milestones began with a deeply personal mission. Adonna Bass Wickliffe, the founder and Executive Director, started the organization in her basement, driven by the need to provide care and support for her own child with special needs. What began as a heartfelt effort to give her loved one the best possible care, soon blossomed into a full-service organization. Today, Milestones continues to offer individualized supports, helping individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, children, seniors and youth in and aging out of foster care reach their full potential while supporting their families.
